The Bodegas Fundador Pedro Domecq are the oldest in Jerez. The foundation of Pedro Domecq dates back to 1725 and is located in Machamudo, in a majestic landscape of 800 hectares in the center of which stands an ancient castle towards which the vineyards converge. Spearhead of the cellars of the Domecq Brothers in Jerez de la Frontera, Carlos I is an ancient brandy whose official presentation took place back in 1927. Aged according to the Solera method, or in oak barrels arranged on some overlapping rows whose brandy is assembled from year to year, it has an extraordinary aromatic complexity. Amber in color with golden reflections, it has a round and full aroma thanks to the aging of at least 12 years in oak barrels, whose capacity does not exceed 350 liters. It is enveloping, powerful and carries with it the aromas of the wood experienced by the Jerez wine, transmitted during its long period of maturation. Carlos I has a bouquet that ranges from almonds to caramel to tobacco, while on the palate it is rich in spicy scents with evident vanilla notes, full and sweetly dry, with a pleasant persistence.

Scent Pleasant notes of almonds and caramel, vanilla and nutmeg
